13.1 (FELT like 26.2)

Well, we survived , the Ogden 1/2 marathon! Yeah! Tiff (my sis) and Jim ran it with us. They were our inspiration. Tiff kept me going! It was freezing while we waited for the race to start. The shuttles had us at "line" 1 1/2 hours early! It was a beautiful morning though- the only time during the race that I even noticed the scenery! We were able to keep up a 8:30 minute mile-which for ME is way good, I was just glad to cross the finish line....the last 2 miles were definitely the hardest! It was so hard to keep going....I don't know how people run the full thing! A full marathon used to be a goal of mine but I'm not so sure now. Our kids were there at the end to support us. Megan (my other sis) came over at 4:45 so we could go and brought them to the finish line...she's so great to do that. Lee and Merry (Marty's dad and wife) came to see us finish also, a nice surprise for me! They cheered me on at the last hundred yards or so, Thanks guys!!!

I was sooo sore the next day and several days thereafter, I couldn't walk down stairs or hardly walk at all...and immediately following the race for a couple hours I was just sick...mild heat stroke I presume...

All in all , I don't know if I'd do it again soon, but it was a good accomplishment for me and Marty to do together...way to go babe!

ah! the Sun

A Day at the Park
Marty's Mom was in town for a few days, SO nice to see you Di. We had a great , relaxing time, good thing the park wasn't the highlight of your stay! It was too DANG windy, remember?

Okay, I know my glasses are GINORMOUS, but they are all I had with me in the car ( I think they're my Mom's) Nursing Momma!
Some down-time...

Yet Another...........

We missed you of course Jami B. All the girls went to BYU Women's Conference in Provo (except Michelle and I) then we met up in Park City for dinner and over to Jaimi's "Condo Share". It was really nice and a great get-a-way... Jaimi brought her "BEADS" and we got to pick out bracelet-watches that we wanted to buy, sooo super cute... I will post a picture next time about them because you all will want them ....Jaimi makes and sales them for around $30
Tiff - always the picture taker...

Showing-off the bellies...beautiful!
Sorry, Ingrid-you posed , I snapped.... it was a glorious banana split though wasn't it...?

My Mom was going to go but ended up going to Honduras (sp?) with my Dad... so we missed you too MOM! Thanks for funding the day and trying to make sure we knew how to plan out the details before you left...I know you were worried about us, but we got along just fine...Luvs...

GNO's

Good 'ol girls night out...I've had two recently...this one with my sister's and cousin Kate...we had dinner at the Gateway Mall...'course Jaimi and Katie shopped till they dropped , we just went along for the food... Then we had yummy caramel apples from Rocky Mtn. Chocolate Factory...why is everything centered around food?? (two of the five are pregnant here, hope it's not Katie?)

NICE..........Katie
Then I had a H.S. friend get-together at my humble little home a week later...we just talked and of course, ATE....(to those of you who will notice-namely my sisters- I know I am wearing the same outfit on both night's -whoops- I'm a little low on clothes right now- okay- I like to rotate through my outfits)

The subject of conversation went a little south (not like Antarctica South, but like, maybe Texas South).....anyway, needless to say , we all got laughing pretty hard, it was clean fun all in all...

Three of the eight are pregnant ...babies, babies, babies....P.S. we missed you Becca and anyone else who couldn't make it...Our little ones are only a couple weeks apart...Zoe is a little miracle baby and so precious... maybe she and Liam may hook up some day...

For Jiff and Tim

So, remember that puzzle you gave Ruby for her birthday a couple weeks ago and we joked about it that it was a little "much" for her, well she has LOVED it and works on it 'forever' at a time...she can now put it all together by herself in about 5 minutes or less......why does she love puzzles so much..?! Anyway we've been telling her what some of the names are and she's picked them up pretty good ....it's been good cuz we've learned right along with her....I'd totally forgotten alot of my states! So, thank you!!

Bash Bash Bash

We've had a busy week or two...Ruby's birthday fell on the week of Easter... here we had a bash with cousins...it's always a treat to cram bunches of kids around to eat and scream.... we served mac n' cheese and chicken nuggets... The next night Marty's dad and his wife, Mary came by to celebrate, this was her actual birthday night... her favorite gift (next to her spring dress-princess dress- from Gpa Lee) was this mini chair..... I know, I know not the best decorating, but it was thrown together with stuff I had at the house..okay.... and it was carrot cake in the shape of a bunny -thats cute right? Plus it's made with no sugar and whole wheat flour and olive oil- pretty tasty!

And even the NEXT day Gma and Gpa Anderton took Rube's out for chicken O's at Artic Circle and the playground at the mall...She LOVED it , called it her DATE with Grandma and Grandpa...one on one time is really special to her...so yet again we celebrated her 3rd birthday...she better not get used to the idea of week-long events ...

For an Easter Bash , we went up to the chuch house in Morgan and had a party with all my siblings and their families...once again, a little chaos , but sooo fun, esp. for the kids ...we played all kinds of games, dyed eggs, had treats and made a craft...then back to my parents for a big dinner and 'short' outside egg hunt...in the cold...
Easter Morn'
Buddy here -with a newly knitted sweater from Gma Diane...so gorgeous, I love the color- you did FABULOUS, Di ..and since it's so stretchy and a little big - it will definitely fit him next fall too! yeah!
