Blessings...

Okay it needs to come out.....

I get these kinds of "shipments" from my sis-in-law. They come about every 6 months or so. These are clothes from her daughter's closet -several with the tags still on. All of which come from Old Navy, Gap, Gymboree, Children's Place and the like... Thank you -Jaimi- for being such a shopper!, for being so tasteful in dressing your kids and for sharing the LOVE with me and my children. I love you and you've saved me SO much money and time, and Ruby dresses immaculately because of you. I've never really had to buy much as far as clothes go for her and it's has been a HUGE blessing for us. I still have amazing friends from my growing up days... and it is a much needed blessing to get together with these girls on a quarterly basis and 'catch up' and reminisce.

And what would I do without girl-night's with my beloved sisters, Mom...(and cousin Katie).
I am always reminding myself how blessed I am with such a fun family. We all went to Park City for lunch and then a couple of us stayed to do some outlet shopping.

I finally got to use my wheat grinder that Diane gave me for Christmas. Thank you, I am so excited to use my "hard red wheat". Yeah for food storage!!It works very fast and the flour was super fine. It's great!

I made these delicious cookies, from a recipe out of the "deceitfully delicious" recipe book. It's a fabulous book, I need to own it. Here's the recipe with the 'secret' ingredient.

1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup trans-fat free marg. or light butter
2 large egg whites
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans) rinsed and drained (I food process mine till ground)
2 cup semi-sweet choc. chips
3/4 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup raisins
2 cup flour (I used my whole wheat)
1/2 cup oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Cook at 350 for 10 to 12 min.

p.s. you'll be pretty regular with just a couple of these fibrous cookies, I usually get a sick stomach cuz I eat like 4 or 5 out of the oven, nothing beats a warm cookie.
