What a great trip with my family! We went to Bear Lake for 3 nights and stayed in a big house with 7 rooms and yard and it was just a hop skip and a jump from the beach... it was so great! I love summer outings! My kids got lots of cousin time, because all of my six siblings went with their families...It was so nice to have a yard with grass to let the kids run wild. There are 17 grandchildren and 3 more in counting and compared to our Lake Powell trips -where we are all stuck on the boat or hot rocky shores- it was nice to have a place for the kids to release energy!Jami and Brett were Rube's favorite buddies! I hardly remembered she was around (until bedtime of course), but thanks Ohio-an Buckeyes, we miss you! This was a fun little family bike we rented and all took turns using, but only one steering wheel controlled the bike and of course that was Marty's side, how annoying that was!We celebrated my dad's 60th b-day with a surprise party! We decorated with pictures of him and memoirs from his mission in Brazil. Our dinner that night was all Brazilian courses that we cooked up, it was delicious! Especially the beans and rice!We put on skits about the different stages of his life, he was a drummer in a band that started in High School and was called the GENTS, so the kids re-inacted.My mom gave him the Wii for his present- Michelle (my sis) and I BOXING it out! I kicked her butt. Ha Ha This is down at the BEACH, perfect weather! The consequences of falling down...She told me she wanted to strip down and she'd be fine, that lasted about mmm 2 minutes... I know, I'm a mean Mom for pausing to take a picture, but how could I resist.Jared and Ingrid drove all the dirty-wet kids down the street back to the house, good thing no cops were around!
It doesn't look like it in this picture but the water was sooo crystal clear and turquoise blue! So pretty!!! If the water wasn't so cold we would have done some skiing, for sure! The boys all trying to be TUFF and athletic playing tackle football, yeah that's Marty hunching over pretending that his back hurt, they're a bunch'a old men! Marty did have a good run though (before his back went sour) for the touchdown-way to go honey! Ruby was all over that game!

Rethink Lagoon
We all went to Lagoon the other day for Marty's work. Yes, all four of us. Liam actually did really well and it was fun to have him along. I have not been since I was in college..... and it was so great! Especially for Ruby, she loved it. The lines were REALLY long so we strategized and I would wait in line while Marty took Ruby on a ride close by that had virtually NO line. He was able to take her like 6 times in a row until I was close enough to the front for her to jump in with me. It was a good way to get the most use out of our time, cuz I'm tellin you, Lagoon WEARS you out! Rubes loved this ride, which is the one we thought she'd like the least! It takes you up like 50 feet and drops you several times down really fast and abruptly. She actually wasn't tall enough for most of the rides, this one included, but I would just carry her on and most the time they didn't notice. But once, we were rejected becuz of her heigth, sometimes it doesn't pay to be short....... Here's "Buddy" getting a mid-day massage from Dad, he's lovin it if you can't tell. He got a little tense/tight watching Ruby on all the crazy rides.
