CHANGES

getting into our house has been a big change and exciting too....it takes ALOT...little costs that you don't think about add up fast...one big change we had was starting ruby in her big-girl-bed...and she has loved it so far! i thought she would have a hard time with this adjustment but we are still keeping our fingers crossed as she may change her mind anytime....
marty has been working his tail off (literally), first of all when he was painting the downstairs laundry room he placed the spider trap (sticky piece of cardboard) on the stool so he wouldn't step on it...couple minutes later he sits on the stool to take a break and lo and behold the trap was still there where he put it himself...the trap would not peel off without ripping his shorts, so, sadly we had to retire them.....we've been up every night putting blinds up till 12:00 or later....it's not worth it! they have been the biggest headache of this whole process and ALL of our windows needed coverings....i've never heard so many "near swearings" in my life....

ruby has been SO excited about her "new house"....she will walk around the house on the phone with grandma or other relatives and describe everything about the house like your right there walking with her, she gets really animated when she's in her "own" room and talks about her bed and yellow walls.......i guess she assumes you can see through the phone and what she's pointing at and talking about.... the picture of her smiling is not at our house but at BIG O TIRES, i ran over a nail about 4 inches long, just what needed to happen on a week like this!

So cute!! I love her big girl bed...it's so funny to see her on the phone because we've totally been on the other end of her conversation when she's telling about her room! I'm sorry about your tire...it seems like dumb stuff like that happens when there's already so many other things to think about!

Ummm the spider trap on Marty's pants is HILARIOUS!!! I can't believe they are that strong! :) Good luck with the blinds. It will be so worth it when they're all up and the whole neighborhood can't see in!

Soo, this is a long comment...but isnt' that video of Rubes hilarious?! We watch it over and over and laugh so hard every time! Lov you guys!

What exactly is 'near swearing' ? As someone who has seen your house with my own eyes...it is very cute! what a little bit of heaven! The spider trap stuck on Marty's rear end is a classic...he should get one for the other side and start a trend. Your home is just the kind you would want to show off to 'dinner guests' (hint) Sure do miss all of you around here (more than you know) but it's nice to know you are so cozy in your new little abode!

What kind of family are we. We have not helped with putting up any of the blinds! Sorry. Since you are at the cabin this weekend, we will swing by and try and do something to surprise you. What color did you say you liked? Purple? You will be so surprised. Just like Ric always is when his office staff fixes up the office.

Marty, I'm just happy you were wearing shorts when you sat on the Spider Trap. It might be a little difficult to explain to the Emergency Room doc if you hadn't.
