Why is it that to sell a house...you do all sorts of 'projects' to make it look better, homier, more inviting, livable, smelling good etc....only to sell it to someone else to enjoy all the improvements!?
Why didn't we do this all along or right when we moved in; so WE could enjoy it and be proud home owners.! Silly, silly....silly. p.s. I HATE showing the home...how many times do I have to deep clean/polish to the max - to get this thing sold! Kids make it especially hard to KEEP clean, there is little toys everywhere, not to mention kid grime - i.e. sticky floors, dried smashed food in the kitchen, dirty handprints on the doors and walls..... I could never do house cleaning for a living.
oh wait, I do. Everyday.

mindy...your cute little house is sparkling! and i love the furniture...is it new?? i don't think it was there in december?! I think i am starting to feel the anxiety of selling already as we are painting every square inch and putting in new carpet i think, "why didn't we do this 2 years ago (when we had money cuz i was working and i didn't have a little munchkin grabbin my ankles with sticky fingers as I paint?!). oh well, i'm sure somebody will love your home the way you do....i guess it might take time! good luck!

Sad you can't sell your house and I know what you mean. i hate cleaning and I think tabitha makes it messy two seconds after you clean it. I am already telling Jared thing we will have to do before we sell in a couple of years but why not now. Oh well. Love ya

Mindy, I have never been to your house that it wasn't antiseptic clean (except the stove). I'm praying for you on so many levels and for so many things. I'm sure it will sell......someday!
got your comment on my blog...we really should exchange emails or call each other... my number is still the same and i cant remember yours - sorry. give me a jingle. funny...ryan and i are both running the full logan marathon. we can do something fun together though. the training has been tough...i have a strained IT band and so have cut down on my long runs... anyway. we would love to run with ya...train for the full one :)
I KNOW IT!!!! Showing a home makes me batty! It's like you can't just "live" cuz you never know when you're going to have to make it look like a museum again! And yes, with little kiddos it is especially hard...like I can keep my house that clean for more than 10 seconds! However, if it's any consolation, your house looks GORGEOUS! You have such a nice touch. Love it.
