Finding joy at home.

Who, knew ...the 'slant' in our yard (that we don't so appreciate in the summer), would be to our advantage in the winter!

ya, Ruby loved this game until I accidentally hit her in the face with a snowball, then it was all over.  Before then she would not stop attacking me with them!

okay, so it wasn't the best sledding hill; but once we got a path paved out...going down was actually quite fun and we had a little bump at the end where it drops down into our patio...for the age of kids present, it was perfect and convenient.

Cousins make the best of friends...too bad they all look the same age but there is 3.5 years between Ruby and Tabitha and 1 full year between Liam and Tabitha (he being older).  Tiny kids have big brains, right?

so, got your comment on my blog. loved marlon hills...well we only got up to 2nd grade there...mrs rackham is the best! i had a bad experience with the K teacher, but maybe she has gotten better. It was her first year back from a long break of teaching. i think it is a fine school - not the best, but if you are involved with your kids education then your kids will be fine. i think it is parents who use school as a babysitter that complain about things like what their kids are learning etc. i do a lot of work with my kids at home too so it supplements whatever is missing. i could go on and on about budget cuts and all that...but i will spare you. in short, marlon is good. as long as they have good friends around them and your support their education will be successful.

Love the Christmas pics. Yay Liam got his fixed up soft toy (what's that thing?) and LOVED the banana cake! My mom was trying to talk me into driving home this summer...NOT a chance. 12 hours is bad enough...i refuse to do 37! Glad for your reminder so i didn't agree to anything stupid. :)
